I've tried just about every "high end" acoustic guitar pickup and/or onboard mic over the years, and for me, the Baggs Anthem beats them all. I personally like the SL more because it's set and forget. The only thing I could compare it to is the Expression pickup system in my Taylor 814ce, and it sounds even better than that. Putting anything between the bottom of your saddle and the bridge slot obviously affects the sound when you're playing unplugged, and most of the UST units don't sound that great when plugged in.
